About Lionsgate Riding Centre

Lionsgate is a family run riding school situated in the Ayrshire countryside, 4 miles from Ayr town centre.  It is a fully licensed riding school and is inspected on a regular basis by South Ayrshire Council.

Lionsgate is open all year round, with an outdoor school and clean, tidy stables and yard. The services we provide include: riding lessons, pony days, livery, schooling, preparation and breaking.

This is very popular amongst young riders. A chance to be at the stables with the ponies all day, to groom, tack up and help to look after ponies and 2 lessons or hack & lesson per day, stable management, as well as having fun and making new friends.

Riding Lessons

Riding Lessons are available for 4 years old and upwards. We cater for all ages & stages and welcome new beginners in the riding school.

We offer private and group lessons on suitable, well-schooled horses. We also provide help with British Horse Society Exams.

The instructor, Karen McGow, is both experienced and fully qualified.

Livery Options

Lionsgate provides a full range livery options at affordable prices. Horses benefit from good sized stables with rubber flooring.
